Somehow I missed this topic. Anyways I LOVE Cosima. I think she should've won and it's unfortunate that she had to drop out.

Cosima is awesome  Her problem in Australian Idol though was that she developed nodes and ended up dropping out of the final 3 leaving the finale as Guy and Shannon.

Below is her performance of a song called When The War Is Over from the Australian Made theme. It's so awesome. She ended up recording a studio version which is also awesome. Unless plans have changed she is supposed to be releasing in American in 2005. What I don't understand is how Cosima didn't get through initially. She was a wildcard contestant. Unfortunately after an awesome version of My Heart Will Go On she was left in the dust, but she came back in the Wildcard and won the judges over.

I just watched the video and I love her voice! I like the raspy type of voices like Melissa Etheridge as well as the belters like Clay and pop/country like Carmen, lol.

Hey, I know who Cosima is!!  She was the illegitimate daughter of pianist/composer Franz Liszt.  She later married the conductor and pianist Hans von Bülow.  Bülow was a champion of the music of Richard Wagner.  Wagner repaid him by stealing his wife.  Cosima later divorced Bülow and married Wagner.  They named their first child Siegfried, after the hero of Wagner's operatic cycle "The Ring of the Nibelungen," and the descendents of Siegfried Wagner still run the Wagner festival in the city of Bayreuth, Germany....oh, wait, that's not the Cosima you were talking about?

I'll have to check her out sometime....I like a wide variety of music, so I guess I should like her....

And that sucks about the nodes, is she better now?  I don't follow any other Idol other then in America, lol...so I never heard of her.

Yeah she's long since recovered. Australian Idol 2 has already started and finished (Cosima was in the first one) and Cosima's recorded an album that's out in Australia now. From what I understand too, she is coming to America in 2005.

Thats great to hear...I've read about those things, and they can really affect ones carear....glad to hear she's all better, and that they caught them early...guess she didn't need to stay in the competition to have a album
